	Dr. John Lanier John P. Lanier, M.D. is a native of Atlanta, Georgia. He attended The Westminster Schools and graduated from Rice University in Houston, Texas, with a Bachelor of Arts degree. He attended graduate school at Georgia Institute of Technology before receiving his M.D. degree at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta. Completing his residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Georgia Baptist Medical Center in Atlanta, he served as a Lieutenant Commander in the U.S.Navy receiving a distinguished service record. Following thirteen years in the practice of Ob/Gyn, he retired early from this subspecialty, returning to Harvard University and Georgia State University to gain additional training in Primary Care and Physical Medicine. Dr. Lanier is a proponent of combining traditional medicine and alternative medicine in an integrated approach toward preventative healthcare and a holistic approach toward treating musculoskeletal injuries and diseases. 	Dr. Bob Mattson Dr. Bob Mattson is a graduate of Life University College of Chiropractic. He completed his undergraduate studies at Youngstown State University, obtaining a Bachelors of Science degree in nutrition. Dr. Mattson has been peer reviewed and published in the Journal of Vertebral Subluxation for a research study on chiropractic and the use of shoe orthotics. He also co-authored a case study accepted for poster presentation at the Association of Chiropractic Colleges' Research Agenda Conference. 	Dr. Joe Grise Dr. Joe Grise brings a unique perspective to Due West Integrated Health Center. Originally, graduating with a degree in aeronautics from Pittsburgh Institute of Aeronautics, Dr. Grise worked as an aeronautical technician for 16 years. This chapter of his life focused on seeing things mechanically and understanding how multiple small and large parts work in unison to form complex machines. In his spare time, Dr. Grise began martial arts training. He began to see the body as the most complex machine in the world: not only made up of millions of parts, but also consisting of energy and consciousness. He realized that as a doctor of chiropractic he could use his mechanical background and incorporate it with his love and fascination with the machine that is the human body. This led Dr. Grise to chiropractic school at Life University, where he received his degree in 2007. This diverse background gives Dr. Grise an outlook and ability that is not possessed by most health care providers. 	Eva Slavova - Licensed Massage Therapist Eva has been with Due West Integrated Health Center since September 2007. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree and is a licensed massage therapist in the state of Georgia. She completed her training in massage therapy at The Medix School. 	Nicole Lovisek - Ultrasonography Technician Nicole graduated from the Institute of Allied Medical Professions in 2009 as a Diagnostic Ultrasonography Technician. She has been a great addition to the Due West team. Nicole's calm demeanor and warm smile can relax even the most uncomfortable patient. She can be seen working hard behind the scenes keeping things running smoothly, or in our therapy room taking care of our patients. We look forward to great things from Nicole, and are proud to have her on our team. Nicole was born in New York, NY but has lived in Kennesaw for most of her life. 	Katie Best - Office Manager Katie has been with Due West since 2010 and is now without a doubt the quarterback of the office. Nothing moves without her. Katie knows everything that goes on at Due West and as the office manager, oversees every aspect of business and patient care. Katie's personality is infectious, and you will swear you've known her for years after chatting with her for just a minute. Katie holds a Chiropractic Assistant Certificate from the Georgia Chiropractic Assistant Program. She can also bake the most mouth-watering desserts imaginable.
